Simple Sweet Candy Jar

diy candy jar

The weather was great yesterday. The snow started to melt a lot but my day was busy. I had to take care of the two people who got some kind of flu, (my mom and little brother) as well as perform my daily activities of taking care of my two babies (my son and my blog). I can say that I did not have my usual Monday but I did manage to leave some time to create this project. I went to the store yesterday and was eyeing down candies because like most people I do indeed have a sweet tooth. I love this month just because it it the only time that you can find a bag of red cinnamon heart candies and I finally got myself a big enough bag to hopefully last me until next February. This is how I made this:

First you will need a jar.

Get a cloth that you desire for the rim and cut to the length of the rim.

I bought self stick felt crow from Dollarama for $1.00

One on side stick one of the felt crow ends.

Repeat the same to the other side

Next, wrap the cloth around the rim of the jar

and stick the two felt crow pieces together.

Next take letter stickers, you can get it from the dollar store.

Arrange and stick on letters to make the word you want to display on the jar.

Like this. I chose 'Shh..'  for my jar.

This is how it turned out.

Place on counter and fill it with treats.

Its a cute simply design for your home. I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, like my Facebook page or  even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative day!
