Recycled Plastic Bag Decor Pillow

This was a great weekend, the weather was nice and I was up to my creative ways. I think I even finished my novel I was writing. Of course, I want to re-read it and then edit it and re-read again before I put the official stamp on it. How was your weekend? I hope you had good weather also and maybe even made something, wrote something, organized something and overall just created something. I did this over the weekend and I am excited to show you. 

Do you have plastic bags? Guilty as charged my family somehow has (well it feels like over a million) plastic bags. Honestly, I feel bad, I am not the one buying groceries in my family, my mom is but hey I can't blame her since it is very easy to forget the reusable bags or you happen to decide to go to the store last minute and forgot them at home. I hear yeah. I can't stand plastic bags and yet they find a way to infest my apartment and soon their family members join and next thing you know you have a huge amount of them.

What now? Do not throw them away! I already showed you a way to reuse them for décor - How To Turn Plastic Bags Into Decorations and now I will show you another way you can use your plastic bags as pillows. Okay honestly this may sound insane, really try to hold in your laughter, some people have laughed at this thought already (my mom and well someone else.) 

Here is what I did:

I love love love this print.

I bought this cushion cover from Dollarama for $2.00 and I bought two.

It has a zipper at one side.

I opened it.

Took all the plastic bags that we accumulated. 

Stuffed the loud crinkling plastic bags into a soft plastic bag.

( I did this two sets of this)

Next I stuffed all the bags into the cushion cover.

Then zipped the zipper shut.

Here is one real pillow cushion with a real pillow and one with recycled plastic.

Looks identical right?

Just leave it on a chair or couch, it for show not for holding tight or resting your head on, I wouldn't recommend that at all. Okay, so this is not a pillow you can cuddle at night with but it is a very cool, very green way of making décor. Oh, the answer to my question above is left one, if you were wondering.
