I pretty much lived with girls all my life so hiding those girly products hasn't been an issue that my household had to worry about. However, organizing them, that's my specialty. When I was younger, (still sounds funny when I say that) I used to take the empty wipes containers that my mom was no longer using for my siblings and I would organize them in the containers. It's the truth and that is the plan again using an extra wipes container that I no longer need for my son but this time I want to make it look less like a wipes container and more like a stylish container that just so happens to hold feminine products inside. Let me show you how I made this.
First you will need an empty wipes container. I am using Pamper's Natural Clean wipes container.
Now, you are ready to spray paint. I used Krylon's silver spray paint on the outside and also the inside (pretty much any where I saw green) of the wipes container and then allowed it to dry.
Not too long after it was dry and all done.
Of course I couldn't leave this container with only spray paint. I wanted to add a little something to it. Nothing too over the top but simple that serves the container's purpose and a label was the perfect chose. I don't know about you but Micheal's is a store that I don't personally shop at however when I was there I found these cute labels. Originally, I was looking for label holders but since I couldn't find that I settled with these Recollections Labels for 6.99.
Peel and stick.
There is one thing left for me to do and that is to place the products into the container.
Now I can officially say that I am all done! You might have noticed that I left the label blank. That is because I am still not to sure one what I should write on the label yet. I could keep it a mystery or I could bluntly put the word 'pads' on it. Until then I am going to leave it blank and admire the cute container that I upcycled.
I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative week!
That is a really good idea! I might use it for a few other thing I need organized as well ;0)
