During one of my many trips to IKEA, I bought this well needed BRUSALI shoe organizer for $99.00. I was determined to buy the white version, but when I got there it was out of stock and only the brown version was available. Not even thinking, I said, "No big deal, I am going to spray paint it blue anyways". I have so many projects that I have been doing that I didn't even clue in that this wasn't supposed to be a spray painting project. It just so happened that spray painting this shoe organizer blue was my best idea. Here is what I did.
First thing first, I needed to build it and with my handy IKEA drill, it was done in no time.
I used Krylon 53523 Oxford Blue 'Satin Touch' Decorator Spray Paint - 12 oz. Aerosol (True Blue the gloss version) to give this not really my style of color shoe organizer the perfect makeover. After spraying it to death and giving it an hour or so dry time. It was all ready for me to place inside.
This adult/ guest shoe section has been giving us a little trouble. The shoe rack we bought from Dollarama for $2.00 broke and my son occasionally likes to show us that he can take it apart with little effort. The small table there was a place to toss things and it wasn't functioning well.
Now look at it!
What a difference, right? This BRUSALI show organizer is the perfect pop of color to greet you when you first walk in. It holds 12 pairs of shoes which is perfect for our family. It has a shelf that I will later find something to put there. I love it!
It is the perfect invention to keep any entry way from looking completely disastrous. Also, great for larger or small families. Everyone has shoes that need to be stored. Why wasn't this created sooner!
I am so happy that I accidently spray painted this blue!
